MSI BEAT IT 2014 DOTA 2 TOURNAMENT DETAILS

Beat IT Global 2014 includes qualifiers for Europe, Africa, Australia, Sea, China, America, Middle East and APAC, with the Grand Final being played on the 1st and 2nd of November in Taipei, Taiwan.
The format of the tournament is similar for all the regions, with small differences between them.
China (1st qualifier 9-10 August; 2nd qualifier 16-17 August)
There will be 2 open qualifiers, 64 registered teams on each. Two teams qualify from each of the two qualifiers and will have to face the 4 invited teams in a double elimination bracket. The winner will qualify for the Grand Final in Taiwan.
APAC (25-26 July)
There will be only one open qualifier with 64 registered teams. Four teams will qualify to the playoff phase where they will face 4 invited teams in a Best of 3 double elimination bracket. The winner will qualify for the Grand Final in Taiwan.
Europe (1st qualifier 2-4 June, 2nd qualifier 23-25 June)
As in the Chinese qualifiers, there will also be two European qualifiers, each containing 64 registered teams. Two teams will qualify from each qualifier and will face 4 invited teams in the European playoff in a double elimination bracket. The winner will qualify for the Grand Final in Taiwan.
America (4-5 July)
There will be only one open qualifier with 64 registered teams. The same format is applied here, with 4 registered teams which will qualify to the Main Regional playoff where they will face 4 invited teams in a double elimination bracket.The winner will of course qualify to the main event held in Taiwan.
Middle East (20-21 June)
One qualifier with 64 registered teams. Top four teams qualify for the Local Lan Qualifier which will be hosted by MSI. The winner get to the Global Lan Finals in Taiwan.

Related to the regional playoffs, the winner bracket will be bo3 and losers bracket will be bo1.
The Grand Final will be a Best of Five match, and the team coming from the winner bracket will have 1-0.
Keep in mind that the dates of the tournament are not 100% confirmed,therefore they can be modified.
The registration for each qualifier will be opened 2 weeks prior to the event.
Regarding the number of registered teams allowed for each qualifier, if the request will be higher, we will allow 128 teams per qualifier, however, if there will not be enough teams for a full 128 team bracket, some teams will be directly advanced into the further rounds.
1st Place - 25 000$
2nd Place - 12 000$
3rd Place - 7000$

America Qualifier Winner - 5000$
China Qualifier Winner - 2500$
APAC Qualifier WInner - 2500$
Hotel costs and food for the competitors will be also covered.
